Who knew grape kool-aid could be so dangerous? I have been moved away from my no photoshop effects rule because I’ve decided that if I use them correctly, they are not correcting a lack of talent but clarifying my point of view.

This is from my recent trip to Boston . I took this picture standing beside the Philip Johnson addition to the Boston Public Library. I was captivated by how the light was falling on the Lord & Taylor building.

When I was a child Lord & Taylor was the most beautiful store in the mall. When Lord & Taylor left Florida their stores were taken over by a now-defunct discount department store chain. Their stores still felt like Lord & Taylor but the inventory of their replacement was not as nice.
