Tips On How To Choose Your Next Camera
How To Choose Your Next Camera
My primary camera right now is a wonderful Pentax *istDS. I have no complaints about it at this point, except that I need something with better resolution and less noise.
I am looking at buying a Cannon 5D for various reasons. The most important are that it has a collection of high quality lenses, its full frame sensor and the value pricing of the camera.
But the question is how do you decide what your next camera will have?
1. I don’t really care about megapixels. Bigger is sort of better but I want more quality pixels. I want less noise
2. I care about format. I want my camera to fit well in my hands and I don’t want it to be intrusive. A camera that fits in my pocket would be great.
3. Zooms are Great but nice glass is better. I think zoom lenses are fun but they aren’t always practical and if the quality of the lens is bad then your images won’t really snap.
4. Maybe I’m a lush but I don’t want to shake. I think a nice zoom lens combined with some sort of image stabilization is a wonderful thing and if you are going to get a big zoom, get image stabilization too. It will be well worth it.
