Because flickr is down I need something to do.
The Quick Guide
Go to Photoblogs.org and select a photographer who makes heavy use of HDR imagery. You can do it buy choosing the HDR tag or by hunting for a HDR blog in the directory. A year from now you can choose whatever technology is new and wizz bang but for now we will use HDRs.
Choose an HDR or other highly processed image that has a lot of generically nice flickr style comments on it. Say YOU HATE IT . Yes do it! I dare you to leave a well thought out negative comment. Make sure that you say that you don’t like the process that created the image and that it isn’t art or lacks emotion.
Before you know it, a fabulously passive-aggressive email will arrive in your inbox. It will tell you very very indirectly, that you are wrong and that their work is quite possibly, maybe, wonderful . But don’t expect the email to be that forward. The email will be long too, so make sure you make some popcorn.
There you have it. If you do it right you might even get a delightfully passive-aggressive email from a fan of the photographer you offended. That is two for one!
