Alien Skin Exposure: The Product I Have Been Looking For

Monday, December 12th, 2005

I have been looking for a product that simulates the look of some of my favorite film stocks.

“Alien Skin is bringing the look and feel of film to digital photography. Based on the detailed analysis of real world film stocks, Exposure emulates the warmth, softness, and realistic grain of dozens of real world film stocks.

Photographers can use Exposure to recreate a signature look as a one-click effect. Moreover, Exposure controls saturation, light temperature, dynamic range, softness, sharpness, and the addition of realistic grain in one place.”

They currently have examples of Fuji Velvia, Kodak Ektachrome EES and GAF 500. I hope they do Agfa Ultra 50/100, it is a wonderful film stock.

This still leaves the film business up in the air and I am hoping that the film division will live on in some way.
