When I was a child and we lived in Florida, every Christmas we would whip out the “toilet brush tree,” or artificial christmas tree. I always thought it was funny because the tree did look like it was made out of toilet brushes. I did a little research and discovered that the first artificial Christmas trees were in fact marketed by toilet brush manufacturers. My mom was right, it was a BIG toilet brush. Scoot ahead a couple years. The amazing branding force that is Martha+Stewart , has come out with her own line of artificial christmas trees. There are some things you can’t brand away, like prison time, but Martha put her name on a white pre-lit Christmas tree. WOW. The rest of her Christmas line is very tasteful, like the faux candle light bulbs I bought, I only wish she had put her name on some christmas lights.
