A Public-Private Partnership

Title
Here we are at Odiorne State Park. This picture was taken last winter around Valentines day.

As I understand it, the land that is now Odiorne State Park has gone through three distinct phases.
The three phases by ownership type.
Private Ownership: Farms and stately seaside homes.
Military Ownership: Fortifications for harbor protection.
State or Public Ownership: Seacoast science museum and state park.

For the casual flaneur, a stroll through the park will reveal spaces that represent each phase of the land’s usage and ownership. The most interesting spaces in the park are the ones formed from one or more usage period.

Here I am.

Phase one of my buy local day was disappointing and I almost let the sun ruin it. Luckily for me, the weather cleared and I was able to enjoy a visit to New Castle Commons.

Today I Re-Discovered The Visual

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

I’ve wanted to see the Tarsem film The Fall, for a very long time. Almost as long as the film was delayed. I bought a used copy of it today and as far as I can see, it is amazingly beautiful.

Any plot holes will be ignored for the sake of beauty.
